I thought I should offer a little description of the space here at 30 Dumfries. My hope is that it makes new clients more comfortable, especially in visiting a home based business. My office/studio is located just off the foyer when you walk through the front door. Straight at the end of the hall you will find the work bathroom. My workspace is separate from the rest of the home, though you may hear the odd squeak, grunt or snore from a current foster dog in another room, or the distant sounds of my husband doing woodworking in the workshop.
I've been providing service from home at this location since 2013, but I actually did work here before. This home used to be another massage therapy clinic. I worked here right out of college as my first professional job. I always loved the house and the coziness it offered, enough that when it came up for sale I had to put an offer in.
A few years into ownership here we began updating some things and discovered major structural issues. Long story short, the only original parts of the house left are the bricks and joists, and a beautiful marble fireplace facade we took off and put back on again. We are trying to stay relatively true to the style of the original home, but with a little more boldness. All this is to say- no, my office ceiling is not done. I don't know when it will be done. My spouse wants to do a coffered ceiling but has big dreams and little time. So I am very sorry to everyone who has to look at the eyesore :p This will not affect the quality of your service, I promise.
